SUMMER HOLIDAY !!

This semester was quite boring but the time rushed so fast !
I'm losing my mind with the laptops. These laptops are slow and almost never working..
I think it was nice to use blogger and I learned much about it.

Use your time wisely

Fast food is very good option when people do not have time to prepare lunch or dinner. It may also be very cheap if it is not continuous. The taste of fast food is delicious but people can get addictived very easily. Does this win our health? I believe, that fast food is one of the main reason for overweight.

Convenience food is prepared quickly and it saves time. After a hard workday people are tired and hungry. They can just put food to the microwave and take it out quickly. In fact, food what is prepared in microwave is not good for health. It changes the taste of the food and destroy some of the vitamins. It is much better to spend little more time for making a good food in oven.

People need some good fats in their daily life. Fast food includes huge amount of different fats, as we all know, but those fats are not good ones. That kind of food includes much calories as well. That means people get much energy from their food but they do not feel full a long period. They feel hungry very soon after dinner. Eventhought they have eaten for instance hamburger meal, they need more food.

Obese is one of the bad consequences of fast food. That is why people have to have a right amount of exercise. If they eat much fats, they need to exercise more. Althought people eat convenience food, they do not do enough exercise, and that is not a good thing. Adults whose eat much fast food are copied by their children. All they are addictived very soon and conseuences are not good.

Fast food restaurants are earning much money every day. In my opinion, those restaurants have taken too much space in the world. Fast food tastes delicious and people can have it sometimes. It tastes even more better if people eat it rarely. People should not ban it all, just make the use less, and take more care about their health.

bad invention

When I am walking from the school, I see several different school uniforms worn by students from different schools. Everytime I think that, if I was a younger, I would have to wear those horrible uniforms. In this essay, I will state why, in my opinion, school uniforms are useless.

School uniforms are basicly because of different cultures and religions. At school, students are structured to dress appropriately, and most of the students would dress suitably even without uniforms. Grades 11 and 12 are permissed to dress freedly with a dress code because they are older and understand what to wear at school. In my opinion, over that third quarter of the younger students would dress appropriately at school if they were chance to show it.

It is waste of money to buy several school uniforms and at the same time other clothes. It would save a lot of money if students could use their own clothes at school. Uniform is a relief for parents in case of little children but it is not relief for older students. I can not disagree that uniforms bring advantages, but the group of drawbacks is huge for students.

Schools usually arrange a few free dressing days in a year, but the days really are not what they sound. Students can not dress freedly because they have to wear clothes and costumes which shows the theme of the day. Grades 11 and 12 can wear appropriate cloths if they do not want to wear any costumes.

In conclusion, students should have chance to dress freedly with a few dress codes but that is all. School staff should not command what students are wearing at school. They can only state their opinion what is appropriate and suitable at school.

Protect your mind

Watching TV, you may not notice how much violence you see. When you start to count TV programmes or movies which do not include violence, your numbers will be very few or you do not have those at all. I could not agree more that violence we see affects our dehavior and selection making skills while we do not recognize real and non-real events.

After being exposed to a huge amount of violence from movies, unkind behavior between people is very common. When audience have seen action scenes, most of them start to act as movie stars. They may strongly believe that they are able to perform as professional stunts, and believe that they may have specialized skills. At the same time, they do not recognize what they are in the real life. Their lives are messed up because of seeing too much media violence. In my opinion, it is especially children's behavior which is in danger and it affects their daily manners. Children should not see much violence because they are growing up and they can not distinguish right from wrong.

In daily life, people face several problems which obviously need solutions. The way they solve these problems may be affected by media violence. For instance, instead of talking promblems out, people may see that fighting is the most suitable way to solve them. They do not think their options as much as they should, because they have seen their idols fighting on the movies. Regarding children a subsequent circumstance is usually bullying at school, where a kid feels he is the bad guy in a movie and keeps makinf the life of the so-called nerds difficult.

All things considered, media violence has several bad effects for human minds. In my opinion, movies which include huge amount of violence, should be refused from children and teenagers that are still growing up.

On ice

Although ice hockey is usually considered as a men sport, there are many women players. besides ice hockey, there is another sport, called ringette. which is very similar but different at the same time. For instance, in my country is very common for girls and women to play ringette. In this essay I will explain the differences between both sportsand state why, in my opinion, this is the best choice as a female player.

In both sports, players have to use the appropriate gear so that they can keep up their safety. Not only the gear is the same but also the playing court, including the number of players on the field.

Rules are important when playing so players should not forget to follow them. In ringette, there are several rules which are suitable for girls, but in ice hockey players are able to play more freedly. In contrast to ice hockey, in ringette games there is not much fighting. In fact, ice hockey is a more common phenomenon as a sport and as a hobby than ringette.

As a conclusion, ringette is becoming ,ore famous and the number of players is growing fast. The courts will be busy soon with young and middle-age players. Not only in ringette but also in ice hockey the number of players is increasing. Both, women and men can fit in the same playing court. I have played ringette 9 years so I would recommend to try it and have a nice time on ice !

Chinese New Year

This is the first time when I have a holiday because of Chinese New Year ! I'm so excited because I actually don't know anything about it. But now I have chance to see decorations and some Chinese new year things. Those opportunities I would not have in Finland.

I am maybe a little bit embarassed because my knowledge is so bad about CNY and it is a big thing in Asia. I think I will read something about it on the web when I have time.

I'm waiting to see how people celebrate and act when is Chinese new year. And also I am waiting to see all beautiful decorations in the shopping malls and on the streets. I had already put some decorations to my room. One is some frog which gives a good luck. I think that it's beutiful: red, black and gold. That is given by my mother.

I am happy now because I have one week time to forget school and just relax. I will do all my homework before weekend so I don't need to work on vacation. That means that I have more time to shop. I love shopping especially in Singapore because everything is so much cheaper than in Finland !

But anyway, Happy Chinese New Year !

Mc -King- Donalds

When you are walking in the city or in a shopping mall, you can realize all the fast food restaurants which are close together and look a little bit same. Like logos of McDonalds and Burger King are on the same colours. Is the Burger King just a copy of McDonalds or is it totally different hamburger restaurant? I believe that most of the people would recommend McDonalds more than Burger King.

There are many same things on both restaurants but McDonalds is the most developed and they have more 'own things' than Burger King has. Good example of that is McDonalds' children parties. There kids can have a birthday party and the kids' meals are more interested than Burger King's. Many people know that with a Happy Meal kids get a nice little box and a toy. That you would not get on Burger King. Maybe that's why kids love McDonalds.

The meals are put together with a same things: french fries, a hamburger and a soda. The drink companies are not same with McDonalds and Burger King and the hamburgers are a little bit different, for instance Burger King has more vegetables on their burgers. Maybe that's why I have heard to say that Burger King is healthier. That can also be a reason why McDonalds is more famous: people like a delicious food. So, if the food is not healthy, it is delicious because of the fat what makes food taste good.

Some people say that Burger King is just a copy of McDonalds but some people's mind is different. Of course there are same things because the both restaurants are specialized for hamburgers. But most of the people think that McDonalds is the winner, but who knows, maybe Burger King will take the win someday.

I miss you

Now I am back in Singapore and here is so hot ! In Finland there was snow and very cold.
But I would love to go back to Finland because I already miss my friends so much. I saw many of my friends and we had a great time together.
I wouldn't want to be at school but I really have to ! But luckily, I think this school is easier than Finnish school. Only the language is easier in Finland to me.
